Structural insulated panels

Structural insulated panels (SIPs) are an advanced form of pre-insulated frame system that are an evolution of timber-frame, offering all of the benefits of a quick, off-site form of construction, with the solidity of more traditional forms of construction.

SIPs are made up of an energy-efficient polyurethane foam core, providing super thermal insulation, while the exterior skin/facings account for the high strength. This superior thermal performance of SIPs significantly reduces heating and cooling costs, limits air infiltration and creates a quiet draught-free interior.

We have used SIPs in several projects, both on extensions and new build properties, and they have the advantage of being a fast method of construction causing minimum disruption during the build and allowing it to proceed more quickly.
